What We Believe

Our Church affiliation

We are part of the Church of God Movement Headquartered in Anderson, Indiana.

How is this Church like other Churches?

Like most mainstream Protestant churches we believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the word of God. We believe God created the Universe. We believe Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. We believe in the physical resurrection of Christ, and his ascension into Heaven. We believe the Holy Spirit was sent to mankind, and serves as a comforter and guide to all Believers.

How is this Church different?

The Church of God was born in the Holiness Movement of the late 1800’s. We share a common doctrine with The Church of the Nazarene, Free Methodist, Wesleyan, Salvation Army, and Assembly of God Churches.

Holiness churches believe God has called us to live by holy, sanctifies life. It is impossible for man alone to be holy, but with the Spirit’s dwelling within us, we can live a holy life. God has given all mankind free will to choose His Salvation, or to reject His calling upon our lives.

We Believe if you know Christ as your savior, you are a member of our congregation.

We believe God has given each believer spiritual gifts to be used in ministry. We believe these gifts are to be used for his glory, and ascribe to the prohibitions outlined in 1 Corinthians 14.
