What We Believe

Our Church affiliation

We are part of the Church of God Movement Headquartered in Anderson, Indiana.

How is this Church like other Churches?

  • We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe the Bible is the true word of God.
  • We believe God created the Universe and is still actively involved in His creation.
  • We believe Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
  • We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus, his ascension into Heaven, and that he is interceding on our behalf while waiting for his triumphant return.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit was sent to mankind, serves as a comforter and guide to all believers, and is the seal and guarantee of salvation.

How is this Church different?

The Church of God was born in the Holiness Movement of the late 1800’s. We share a common doctrine with The Church of the Nazarene, Free Methodist, Wesleyan, Salvation Army, and Assembly of God Churches.

Holiness churches believe God has called us to live a holy and sanctified life. It is impossible for man alone to be holy, but with the Spirit dwelling within us, we can live a life that truly honors God. God has given all of mankind free will to choose His salvation, or to reject His calling upon our lives.

We Believe if you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, you are already a member of our congregation, and we welcome you home.

We believe God has given each believer spiritual gifts to be used in ministry. We believe these gifts are to be used for His glory, and that believers are to live by what is declared in 1 Corinthians 14.
